Non-Surgical Treatment

Our non-surgical treatments consist of the following treatment:

Botox

Filler injections

Filler injections are very useful and very popular to augment volume loss/ smooth lines/ soften creases/enhance facial contours

due to age related loss of fat under the skin/ injury/ auto-immune diseases etc.without surgery or downtime..

A] Synthetic Fillers

We use Hyaluronic Acid Gel which:

- Dissolves/absorbs within 6-18 months;

- Leaves no residual material;

- Reactions are extremely rare; &

- Is present naturally in the human body.

The procedure is done ,often under Local Anaesthesia, in the office and the risks include bruising/ redness/ itching which is usually temporary.

Infections and reactions are rare. Incorrect placement of injections can result in blockage of blood vessels leading to skin necrosis among other even rarer complications.

B] Autologous Fat Injections

We use the patient's own fat harvested from the lower tummy or thighs under Local Anaesthesia leaving one barely visible 2-3 mm. scar per area.

The fat is prepared and injected into the same range of sites as the synthetic fillers. This is a small surgical procedure which may lead to more swelling and discomfort of a temporary nature.

The risks include bruising and swelling and loss of an unpredictable portion of the injected fat. However, the injected fat that survives more than 6 weeks remains permanently. Thus, patients should expect 2-3 sessions of fat injection sessions to get close to the desired result.

Surgical interventions

Our clients can choose to have the procedures at either of the following venues:

1. In the office (minimally invasive surgery)

2. At Constantiaberg Mediclinic

3. Private Day Clinic

The choice of location depends on the extent of the surgery combined with cost-effectiveness and patient convenience.

Importantly, we must factor into the treatment, the patient’s medical and lifestyle risks at factors. At consultation, all practical aspects of your treatment will be explained, including: cost estimate/down-time/risk factors and possible complications/specific precautions/practical aspects of hospital admission/fee settlement with different role players (Kindly note that the surgeon’s fee is for the optimal performance of the procedure but does not guarantee a specific result). / the use of local anaeasthesia, conscious sedation or general anaeasthesia.

At what age can you get Plastic Surgery?

How long will the procedure last?

The duration of the results will vary from person to person depending on age and the condition of the skin.

However, these results usually last for many years. After the procedure, please be patient. There may be unexpected, temporary differences, such as swelling, redness of the scars, asymmetry, small bumps or lumps which will settle down in due course. Remember that magazine articles and friends’ stories, no matter how well intended and well-meaning, are often quite misleading.

It is generally accepted that in plastic surgery, a small percentage of patients will require a small secondary procedure or minor correction. We do not charge an extra surgical fee for this. The only cost for this would be the hospital expenses, unless it can be done in the office.
